At IDC, we classify the 3250 as an availability level 4 server. This is the highest level of server availability within the industry. These are servers designed to ensure continuous, uninterrupted data processing with no loss or performance degradation, even in the event of a component failure. That classification matters because the server is built for workloads for which even a few minutes of disruption would severely impact business operations and potentially reputation.
