I'm Garrett Steglant, and I'm Product Marketing Director for Code Data Protection at Enable. When we talk to customers about disaster recovery, one of the first things that comes up is how challenging most DR solutions still really are. Every organization plans for growth, but far fewer are saying they feel truly prepared for disruption. But the reality is, when critical systems go offline, business stops. Disaster recovery is known as something they should have, but doesn't always take priority because they don't want to build it, manage it, or spend their budgets on it. Many traditional DR setups often fail because they're treated as static, set it and forget it with a fixed model. So it often comes with trade-offs. The expectation is to invest in hardware that may never be used. Having to design the DR setup and manually test the recovery plans, all while managing unpredictable infrastructure and cloud costs. In other words, disaster recovery becomes an infrastructure project instead of a business outcome. So that's exactly why we built Cove Disaster Recovery as a service. Cove DRAZ is a cloud-native, co-managed disaster recovery service designed to help organizations resume operations quickly without building or maintaining their own disaster recovery infrastructure. It allows you to spin up protected workloads as virtual servers hosted in the Enable Cloud, so recovery is available when you need it without the complexity behind the scenes. The first and biggest benefit of Cove DRAZ is simplicity. You don't need to architect a secondary data center. You don't need to manage storage, compute, or recovery infrastructure. And you don't need specialized disaster recovery expertise on staff. As we mentioned, it is co-managed. This means Enable manages and secures the disaster recovery infrastructure itself, while you stay in control of which workloads are protected, how they're configured, and when recovery is initiated. It's disaster recovery that's easier to implement, to manage, and really to trust without sacrificing control. Another major challenge we hear is cost unpredictability. Cloud-based recovery environments are necessary but can be difficult to forecast, explain, and package, especially for MSPs. So that's why we designed Predictable Capacity and Cost Planning. Instead of surprise usage spikes or complex infrastructure bills, Cove DRAZ uses a flat, per-device model tied to protected workloads. That makes budgeting, planning, and recovery services simpler and easier to resell. MSPs now can offer disaster recovery as a premium service with clear margins. And IT teams can have fewer budget surprises and more confidence in long-term planning. Keep in mind that a disaster recovery plan is only valuable if it actually works. So that's why Enable includes automated recovery testing. Testing verifies that protected workloads are recoverable before a disaster occurs, without the manual effort or disruptive test events. The service is built for organizations like yours that want recovery outcomes, not infrastructure projects. With Cove DRAZ, disaster recovery becomes simpler, more predictable, and easier to operationalize. So you can focus on running the business, not preparing for worst-case scenarios.

TL;DR

  • N-able Cove DRaaS eliminates the need to build or maintain disaster recovery infrastructure by providing cloud-native, co-managed DR where N-able handles the infrastructure while customers control workload protection and recovery.
  • The service uses flat per-device pricing instead of unpredictable usage-based billing, making it easier for MSPs to resell and IT teams to budget for disaster recovery services.
  • Automated recovery testing verifies that protected workloads are recoverable before disasters occur, ensuring DR plans actually work without manual effort or disruptive test events.

Summary

N-able introduces Cove Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), a cloud-native solution designed to eliminate the complexity and unpredictability of traditional disaster recovery infrastructure. The service addresses common pain points including the need to build and maintain secondary data centers, manage specialized DR expertise, and navigate unpredictable cloud costs. Cove DRaaS operates on a co-managed model where N-able handles the underlying infrastructure while customers retain control over workload protection, configuration, and recovery initiation. The solution features flat per-device pricing for predictable budgeting, automated recovery testing to verify recoverability before disasters occur, and the ability to spin up protected workloads as virtual servers in the N-able cloud. This approach transforms disaster recovery from an infrastructure project into a business outcome, making it simpler for IT teams to implement and easier for MSPs to package and resell as a premium service with clear margins.
