My name is Teresa Miller, Senior Director of Technical Marketing here at Cohesity. As an enterprise, there's more concern over ransomware attacks and recovery from cyber attacks than ever before. Rapid recovery of your data is typically imperative to business operations. As the primary owner of M365 for my organization, I have very aggressive recovery SLAs to be ready for. With Cohesity CCS and M365 Backup Storage, we will ensure that this is possible. Let's go ahead and get started. I'm going to begin by navigating into our dashboard, and from here, we're going to go ahead and go into Sources. To protect Microsoft 365 and have the option to protect the data with Cohesity and Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, we need to navigate to Register Source and choose Microsoft 365. Let me go ahead and do that. We have those two options selected. Now we're going to start registration. Once we're in the registration wizard, we first need to choose our cloud region. In this case, we're going to choose Azure Central US. The Cohesity cloud region serves two purposes. With Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, it stores the metadata for the Microsoft 365 environment, and for Cohesity Backup Storage, it stores the air-gapped backup copy of Microsoft 365 data. Next, we'll choose the applications. For Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, you can protect mailboxes, OneDrive, and sites. For other workloads, such as teams and groups, you can use Cohesity Backup Storage to protect those. I'm going to go ahead and select all options. To complete the setup, we will need to fill in our account credentials. We'll need to authenticate and create an app. You'll also need to enable Microsoft 365 Backup Storage and provide consent. Because this source is already registered for this demo, we'll go ahead and cancel, and I'll open up the existing registered source. Now once we're in the register source, you're going to see two options. You'll see the Cohesity Backup Storage, which provides an air-gapped immutable copy with strict access controls for long-term retention, and Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, which is best for fast backup and low RPOs for OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange. Together, these two options provide low RTO and RPO with Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, plus support for additional workloads and an air-gapped copy with long-term retention through Cohesity Backup Storage. To get started protecting your data with Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, we're going to go ahead and click OneDrive. Once we're in here, we're going to scroll down, and we're going to select the user, Danny Rand, click Protect, and click Protect again. Notice on screen it does mention that it will be stored in Microsoft 365 Backup Storage. Below we can see that one object was successfully protected. While that's backing up, I just received an urgent call from my help desk. They need me to restore a user's OneDrive due to some of the data becoming corrupted. To get this started, we're going to go ahead and go back into OneDrive, and I'm going to choose Bucky Barnes. That's the user that reported the issue. I'm going to click OneDrive. We're going to leave this within the original location, but I do want to modify the recovery point just because of the timing that they mentioned. I'm going to choose my recovery point, select, and choose Recover. To go ahead and view progress of both my backup and recovery, I'm going to navigate to the Activity Log, and here you can see I have my backup running and I have my recovery running. To wrap up today, we've seen how Cohesity Backup Storage and Microsoft 365 Backup Storage work together to deliver stronger PO options, faster recovery, and greater business resilience for the enterprise.
