time. Here's how the LionGuard MCP server makes that possible, using a SonicWall security analysis as an example. Today we're working inside Dunder Mifflin's environment. To assess their SonicWall devices, a technician would traditionally manually dig through configuration changes, firewall rules, interface settings, and licensing data, and then decide what's worth surfacing in a customer-facing report. As you can imagine, that process is slow, inconsistent, and really hard to scale. With the LionGuard MCP server, an AI agent can do that work for you. We've built the recipes. Think of them as structured prompts that tell the agent exactly how to analyze a specific system type. The SonicWall recipe pulls verified data directly from LionGuard, processes it through the agent, and outputs a complete assessment. MSPs can customize the recipe by adjusting sections, tone, reporting period, and target audience. The agent produces a full assessment with findings, critical issues, licensing status, network configuration, and recommended actions with prioritization. In this example, it flagged that SonicWall Inspector hadn't run in several days. This is a real risk that needs remediation before it becomes a client problem. That's the kind of insight that used to require manual review to find. Output formats include Markdown, Word, or PowerPoint. It's all the same findings, just formatted for the right audience. And this isn't just for SonicWall. We've built individual recipes for all 80 LionGuard Inspectors. Acronis, Active Directory, EDR, Backup, and more. They're also cross-system recipes that stitch multiple device types together into a single environment-wide assessment, rolled up into KPIs your team can act on. A consistent, client-ready security assessment, generated in minutes, grounded in verified LionGuard data. That's what the MCP server makes possible.

TL;DR

  • Liongard's MCP server automates security assessments for MSPs using AI agents and pre-built 'recipes' that analyze specific system types like SonicWall, Active Directory, and EDR platforms.
  • The solution replaces manual configuration reviews by pulling verified data from Liongard Inspectors, processing it through AI, and generating client-ready reports in minutes rather than hours.
  • Platform supports all 80 Liongard Inspectors with both individual system recipes and cross-system assessments that consolidate findings into environment-wide KPIs and prioritized remediation actions.

Summary

This demonstration showcases Liongard's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, which enables MSPs to automate security assessments using AI agents. The solution addresses a critical operational challenge: delivering consistent, scalable security analysis without consuming excessive technician time. Using a SonicWall security analysis as the primary example, the video illustrates how pre-built 'recipes' — structured prompts that guide AI agents through specific system evaluations — can replace manual configuration reviews. The MCP server pulls verified data directly from Liongard's monitoring platform, processes it through AI agents, and generates comprehensive assessments covering configuration changes, firewall rules, licensing status, and critical issues. The platform supports all 80 Liongard Inspectors and can produce cross-system assessments that consolidate multiple device types into environment-wide reports with actionable KPIs, delivered in formats ranging from Markdown to PowerPoint for different stakeholder audiences.

FAQ

What are 'recipes' in the Liongard MCP server context?

Recipes are structured prompts that tell AI agents exactly how to analyze specific system types. They define what data to pull from Liongard Inspectors, how to process it, and what findings to surface in the assessment output.

Can the MCP server analyze multiple system types in a single assessment?

Yes, Liongard offers cross-system recipes that stitch together multiple device types into environment-wide assessments with consolidated KPIs, allowing MSPs to deliver comprehensive security postures rather than isolated system reports.
