From the left hand navigation pane, select Manage and then Infrastructure. Click the Media Agents tile. This will show any existing media agents. To add a new one, in the upper right corner, click Add Media Agent. Enter the fully qualified hostname of your media agent. Select the operating system type from Windows or Linux and enter the credentials needed to perform the deployment. There are certain environmental requirements for performing remote installations. For full details, go to documentation.convolt.com Select to automatically reboot if required, or leave unchecked to perform a reboot manually. Hit Install to launch the install job. This can be monitored from the Active Jobs view. If the required software for the install is not in the software cache, a download software job will automatically be launched. Once complete, the install will automatically resume. Once the software install is complete, you can browse to your media agent by going to Manage, Infrastructure and then Media Agents. Clicking the media agent's name will display the media agent properties, where advanced settings and controls can be enabled and configured.
