I am the CEO and founder of CertiVend, a vendor-side security certification and attestation company. KnowBe4 reinforces the idea that security is part of everyone's role. KnowBe4's security awareness training helps manage phishing risk, social engineering exposure, and inconsistent user behavior. The objective was to find a solution that treated security awareness as a risk-based control rather than a compliance requirement. I chose KnowBe4 because it enabled a move away from a one-size-fits-all training toward a more adaptive risk-based approach. One of the most persistent challenges is managing human-centric risk at scale. Users have different behaviors, awareness levels, and exposures to threat. KnowBe4 helped identify where users struggled and enabled a more structured approach. What I value most is the ability to target training based on real user behavior while still giving leadership a holistic view of the organizational strengths, gaps, and trends. Organizations that consistently use KnowBe4's security awareness training typically see a measurable reduction in successful phishing attempts over time. By using realistic scenarios and targeted training, users become more engaged and more confident in identifying threats. Over time, this leads to a stronger security culture and a measurable reduction in human risk. The support experience has been professional and responsive with a strong understanding of enterprise security awareness programs and the operational realities of running them at scale. As cybersecurity threats continue to evolve and become more difficult to detect, organizations will need security awareness programs that adapt just as quickly. KnowBe4 has consistently aligned on how I believe human risk should be assessed and managed both prior enterprise roles and now with CertiVance's attestation-driven approach.

TL;DR

  • CertiVend needed a security awareness solution that treated training as a risk-based control rather than a compliance checkbox, addressing variable user behaviors and threat exposures across the organization.
  • KnowBe4's platform enabled CertiVend to move from one-size-fits-all training to an adaptive approach that targets training based on real user behavior while providing leadership with holistic risk visibility.
  • Organizations using KnowBe4 consistently see measurable reductions in successful phishing attempts as users become more engaged and confident in identifying threats through realistic, targeted training scenarios.

Summary

Edward Bizera, CEO and founder of CertiVend, discusses how his cybersecurity certification and attestation company addressed the challenge of managing human-centric security risk at scale. The core problem CertiVend faced was the variability in user behavior, awareness levels, and threat exposure across their organization, which required moving beyond compliance-driven, one-size-fits-all training approaches. By implementing KnowBe4's security awareness training platform, CertiVend adopted a risk-based approach that targets training based on actual user behavior patterns and phishing susceptibility. The solution provides leadership with holistic visibility into organizational security strengths, gaps, and trends while enabling adaptive training that responds to individual user needs. Bizera emphasizes that organizations using KnowBe4 consistently see measurable reductions in successful phishing attempts over time, as users become more engaged and confident in identifying threats through realistic scenarios and targeted training. The result is a stronger security culture built on treating security awareness as a dynamic risk control rather than a static compliance requirement.
