We've realized that one of the biggest areas that we need to invest is in our humans, with the human risk management, and making sure that we can give them the best chance of being as secure as possible. We've actually decided to extend more into tools like ADAR, FishERA+, the Compliance+, because we're growing so much. So we're using the FishERA+, to be able to use the block list that NoMP4 has been providing, and we want to use the same tooling across all our compliance, rather than jumping around from one system to another system. So our decision to go with Compliance+, was to allow for us to centralize specialized compliance training that we need for our users. And the reason we chose to invest in ADAR last year was because we need to rapidly respond to the environment around us. When you want to try and defend against AI, you need AI to try and help you. We chose to go with Security Coach, trying to be able to provide more instantaneous and more targeted, better feedback to our users. The way NoB4 has helped us to reduce our risk is by, funnily enough, the inside man. We've been driven by our users to get the inside man. We'll do our mandatory refresher training, and only when they've got over 80% that have done the training, we release the inside man to them. So we get the training that they don't want done before we allow the inside man as the treat. And with the new investment into ADAR, FishERA+, and so forth, it's giving us a much more holistic human risk protection. We would recommend NoB4 because it is much more geared to supporting users doing an implementation, and you don't have to be quite so hands-on and administrative around it all the time. TL;DR

  • Ideagen expanded KnowBe4 deployment to centralize compliance training and phishing protection across their growing organization, consolidating tools to reduce system fragmentation.
  • The company uses gamification to drive engagement, releasing The Inside Man video series only after 80% of users complete mandatory security awareness training.
  • Ideagen invested in ADAR for AI-powered threat response and SecurityCoach for instantaneous user feedback, creating a more holistic human risk management approach.

Summary

Josh Monk, VP of Cybersecurity at Ideagen, discusses how his organization addressed human risk management challenges during rapid growth by expanding their investment in KnowBe4's security awareness platform. Facing the need to centralize compliance training across multiple systems and respond to evolving threats including AI-driven attacks, Ideagen deployed PhishER Plus for phishing protection with centralized blocklists, Compliance Plus to consolidate specialized compliance training, ADAR for AI-powered threat response, and SecurityCoach for real-time user feedback. The company has successfully used gamification to drive engagement, offering The Inside Man video series as a reward after achieving 80% completion rates on mandatory training. Monk emphasizes that KnowBe4's implementation-focused approach requires less administrative overhead compared to alternatives, enabling Ideagen to build a more holistic human risk protection strategy that scales with their organizational growth.
