coverage across production and sandbox environments, Commvault Cloud efficiently protects and valuable Dynamics 365 CS and Power Platform CRM data, helping your business stay safe, compliant, and recoverable from today's data loss threats. Protecting Dynamics 365 data is your responsibility and Commvault delivers trusted data security protection for your CRM data and beyond. In fact, Microsoft acknowledges businesses are always responsible for their data and recommends dedicated protection. Without dedicated solutions, customers must solely rely on native backup utilities. And while native tooling provides some of those baseline capabilities, third-party solutions extend far beyond those out-of-the-box functionality to safeguard data comprehensively. With native tools, you have backup limitations where production backups are saved for only 28 days and seven days for sandbox, so there's no long-term retention. There's also no data separation from source data, so how do you recover from an attack or deletion without that secondary backup? There are also restrictive controls with no export capabilities, granular or point-in-time recovery options, and more. And then finally, native tools are just not contractually obligated to meet recovery SLAs, so how do you rapidly recover from an attack or data loss event? Commvault Cloud delivers enterprise-grade data backup and recovery with the simplicity of SaaS. And with our comprehensive coverage across production and sandbox environments, Commvault efficiently protects invaluable Dynamics 365 CRM data, helping your business stay safe, compliant, and recoverable from today's data loss threats. This demo will show you how to backup and recover your invaluable Dynamics CRM data. So to start, go ahead and log into Commvault Cloud, where you can see the full range of our SaaS service catalog. To access Commvault Cloud backup and recovery from Microsoft Dynamics 365, click on the Dynamics 365 tile in the service catalog or from the drop down in the upper left-hand corner. You're then brought to the Dynamics 365 hub, where you have quick visibility into your environment, backup success rate, and plan details. So let's go ahead and add a new configuration by selecting the new configuration on the right-hand side. From here, we can set up our environment, choose from the express configuration, which uses admin credentials to automatically detect and add protection for your Dynamics 365 environments, or the custom configuration, which includes more advanced and granular options for setup. So let's hop into our environment, since we've already configured our application for this demo. From this view, users can easily access their Dynamics 365 instance. So select a server plan to view, or adjust your backup frequency, backup destinations, retention period, and more. In this demo, we're going to go ahead and backup our data every night for eight hours. Select the application name to access your environment, and then from here you can view your backups. Users can filter the results using a simple keyword search to help navigate large Dynamics 365 environments. In this example, we'll look for all the tables related to our sandbox instance. To execute a restore, select the overview tab. In this view, you can recover CRM data from a specific date. So let's go ahead and recover data from yesterday. Select the data and the time frame, and click restore. Next, you will want to choose the environment to recover from. So let's select our production environment. From here, you can see all the backups associated with it. The advanced search on the right corner allows you to pinpoint specific data sets. So let's find the subject to refine your search by item name, modified data, size, or specified data types. Select search to review the results. From here, you can recover an entire table or items within it. So select the action drop down to restore this item, a specific version of this item, or the item properties to recover an item's metadata. Let's go ahead and restore the entire item. You can send this data back to its original location or a new one, such as a sandbox for data seeding. So let's send this data back to its original home and complete the restore. And just like that, you've backed up and recovered your Dynamics 365 CRM data. With Commvault, you can safeguard your entities, records, forms, metadata, attributes, and more. And because it's Commvault's cloud SaaS, you get built-in simplified deployments, hassle-free maintenance, and industry-trusted performance.
