Detection and on supported models, License Plate Detection. Let's take a look at how these features work. How vehicles are detected can be found within the Settings section of a selected camera. From here, select Detection. There are three settings that you can use for recording vehicles that are entering, leaving, or near your premises. The first setting is part of the 4T Camera Analytics. This keeps track of how many vehicles enter or leave a specified area or go over a crossing line. In this example, we've used the crossing line over the opening of a parking lot. With the crossing line in place, you can now start using the Analytics section to see how many vehicles are coming into or going out of your premises. You can also keep track of your parking lot occupancy throughout the day. The next setting is for License Plate Detection. This feature allows you to define an area to record license plates of vehicles entering or leaving your premises. Using our parking lot example, we've defined a detection area that we'll use to search for a specific license plate within the Motion Detection section of the 4T Camera. Under Vehicle, there are search options for your Date & Time, License Plate, and the Vehicle Type and Color. We're going to enable the License Plate search and view all of the license plates detected within the specified date and time. You can filter these results by entering only the license plate of the vehicle you'd like to find. Simply click on the thumbnail to immediately view the recording of that vehicle. The last setting is Motion Detection. Here, you can create a detection window used to record any vehicles that have moved through the defined area. Detected Motion Activity will alert you within the Notification Center, and if configured, send you an email with details of the detected motion.
