Output using AD Manager Plus. There are two ways in which user accounts can be created from a HR System Output. In the first method, you can integrate a HR Management System with AD Manager Plus and directly import the user details from the HRMS to AD Manager Plus to create AD accounts. However, AD Manager Plus currently supports integrations with two HR Management Systems namely Zoho People and Workday. In case you use an alternate HRMS for your organization, you can use the second method where user details from the HRMS can be exported into a CSV. You can then modify the CSV headers according to the LDAP headers accepted by Active Directory and import the user details in the CSV to AD Manager Plus. In this video, we will focus on the first method i.e. we will be integrating Zoho People with AD Manager Plus to automate the creation of user accounts. Step 1. Integration of Zoho People with AD Manager Plus In this step, we integrate Zoho People with AD Manager Plus by providing an appropriate username and password for that Zoho People account that is to be integrated with AD Manager Plus. Log on to AD Manager Plus and click on the Admin tab. Click on Integrations. Click on the Zoho People option. Click on Account Details. Enter the username of your Zoho People account. Enter the password of your Zoho People account. Click on Test Connection and Save. Step 2. LDAP Attribute Mapping This step deals with mapping the headers in Zoho People to the LDAP headers of AD. Click on Add New Configuration. Enter the configuration name. Let us now map the Zoho People headers to the LDAP headers in AD. Map the given name in LDAP attribute name to the first name in Zoho column name. Click on the plus option to add another attribute mapping. Map the SN in LDAP attribute name to the last name in Zoho column name. Click on Add. Keep in mind that the LDAP attribute mapping needs to be done for all mandatory attributes. Step 3. Automating the Process of User Creation Before we speak about automation, there is one important factor that needs to be considered. Password is a mandatory attribute that cannot be mapped to the Zoho People header. Hence, you must create a template to set the password to random password and later on apply that template while automating the user creation process. Let us now automate the process of user creation. Click on the Automation tab. Click on Create New Automation. Enter the automation name. Select User Automation under Automation Category. Select Create Users under Automation Tasks. Create that template in which you have set the password to random password. Change the Data from CSV option to Data from Zoho People option. As soon as you enter Data from Zoho People option, all the attribute mapping configurations will be made available to you. You can select any one of those configurations. You can also add conditions using the Advanced button. Check the Ignore Current Records option. If you want to sync all the Zoho People records with that of AD, otherwise keep it unchecked. You can check the Implement Business Workflow option if you want to exercise controlled automation i.e. if you want to review and approve every task before it is actually executed. Specify the time interval at which the task should be run under the Execution Time section. You can also select the Enable Notification option to notify the technician when the automation is executed. Click on Save. The users will be created automatically at the specified time.
