At Verge.io, they have developed their own approach using a combination of QEMU and KVM, creating a more streamlined hypervisor experience. They emphasize that switching from VMware to another hypervisor should maintain the same user experience since users interact with virtual machines running Windows or Linux applications. While there may be performance differences, the user experience shouldn't be significantly impacted. The  importance of minimizing the burden on IT and ensuring a smoother user experience, is a key aspect to consider when evaluating hypervisor options.
