The investment in backup and recovery was, and I use her words specifically "non-negotiable." And that was because the company was spending millions on digital transformation and Salesforce was her platform of choice. And yet the data was vulnerable. There was risk and there was exposure because of the absence of of that data protection mechanism. So she didn't see money spent on backup and recovery as a cost. She saw it as an investment in the business, being able to get the returns out of Salesforce that that they were expecting.
