The pandemic accelerated cloud adoption for all kinds of reasons. Just like every other vendor that is here at VMware Explore, we did a very strong pivot with all our products to meet our customer’s needs. We made our products more cloud friendly, we made them behave better in the cloud especially regarding costs.
Another big theme today is containerization of everything. At Veritas, we have two new major offerings based around container infrastructure supporting the VMware Tanzu initiative. The first is data protection to be able to recover from any container system and restore to any container system including Tanzu. The second is Infoscale for containers – our storage and clustering product infrastructure for Kubernetes, for K8s. Allows customers to guarantee availability and performance across physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures.
