The Edge of IT: How To Simplify Edge Computing With HCI

Truth in IT
09/27/2023
Globally, the edge computing market is expected to reach $206B by 2032.

Edge locations bring challenges for managing IT infrastructure that delivers digital services to both end users and applications.

With little to no IT personnel on-site at remote locations, IT organizations must deploy infrastructure, ensure high availability, protect data and monitor issues cost-effectively and at scale.

Join this upcoming webinar and learn how HCI software solutions address the challenges of deploying, managing, and monitoring edge infrastructure. The presentation will discuss:
  • The challenges with managing IT infrastructure at edge locations
  • HCI software solutions and their benefits for edge deployments
  • An overview of DCIG research into the HCI software marketplace
  • A shortlist of vendors to consider for HCI software solutions

Todd Dorsey, Sr. Storage Analyst, DCIG LLC

Todd has written a number of DCIG TOP 5 technology reports covering software-defined storage and, most recently, DCIG TOP 5 reports covering hyperconverged infrastructure solutions. Beyond storage products and solutions, Todd brings over twenty years of experience in information technology, supporting enterprises ranging in size from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations.

Ken Klipperton, Principal Storage Analyst & Partner, DCIG LLC

Ken brings more than 20 years of information technology leadership to his current role. Prior roles include server administrator, systems analyst, and then information technology director at a series of three private colleges and universities. Ken has served on multiple corporate advisory boards, state-wide technology commissions, national user group boards, and presented at many national and regional technology conferences.

Bruce Kornfeld, Chief Marketing & Product Officer, StorMagic

Bruce is an experienced technology executive who has held leadership roles in marketing, product management, alliances, and business development in the storage, server, networking, and security industries. He joined StorMagic in 2017 and serves as chief marketing and product officer, where he is responsible for all aspects of global marketing, product management, and alliances for the company. Prior to joining StorMagic, Kornfeld held marketing and product leadership positions at Compellent, Dell, and NCR. He helped Compellent grow its revenue from $9M to more than $150M, which led to its IPO and eventual sale to Dell for $960M, and was instrumental in building and growing Dell’s first storage division to over $1 billion. Kornfeld holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in engineering, and a Master of Business Administration, all from Cornell University.
