You can use Hoodoo Bridge to create a connection between two Hoodoo instances so users can easily navigate between companies. Users from one Hoodoo instance can securely access another instance without needing a new user account or juggling multiple logins. This can be used for helpdesk companies that support multiple MSPs, an MSP that outsources their IT to a helpdesk team for after-hour support, and many additional use cases, making it a great tool for those outsourced helpdesks, NOC teams, or MSP acquisition groups. The first thing you need to do to set up Hoodoo Bridge is establish the connection between the host and the guest. In your admin section of Hoodoo, you can go ahead and create a new bridge. If you are the host, you will select a name for the connection. In this case, I am going to call it helpdesk. The maximum user role level you want the guest to have, anywhere from spectator to editor, and add the guest in to specific security groups as needed so the host retains full control over what guests can see and do. Permissions are based on group membership to ensure security and data isolation while enabling just enough visibility for collaboration. Once everything is set up to your liking, you can create the bridge and set a passphrase. Make sure you remember the exact passphrase chosen, as this will have to be sent to the guest. So here I will create a passphrase and call it hoodoo. Then I am generated a bridge token, which I need to copy so I can send it over to my guest. Now that completes the host side of things. The other side is the guest, or the person that will be bridging into my instance. So now I am going to go in a separate demo instance and set up hoodoo bridge as the guest. Guests can access the hoodoo instance without needing additional user licenses on the host side which helps reduce licensing costs while still allowing full access for support and collaboration. Here on the guest side of things, I will first enter in the company that I am going to bridge into. In this instance, Atlas Company, Inc. Next I will enter in the passphrase and bridge token that the host has sent to me. If everything is correct, I should get a notification confirming this. Now I can create the bridge from this side and we are officially done with the setup. Jumping now into Atlas Company, Inc., a new option appears to launch bridge. As I click this button, I am now taken into the host's environment with the permissions that were set for me. I was set in a group to only have access to one company, so that is all I am able to access here. I was also set to a spectator, so I don't have the ability to edit or add any documentation in this instance. As soon as I finish what I need to, I can simply end the connection and go back into my company's hoodoo instance. Overall, as MSPs grow through acquisition or partnerships, bridge offers a clean, scalable way to connect ecosystems without merging environments, enabling each instance to retain autonomy while still working together.
