additional value. What we saw with the browser is really exciting and is working really well for our enterprise customers. But over time, we realized that if we leverage synergies between our NGFW and the Prisma browser, we can make it even better. We can enable remote access from unmanaged devices to your private applications in a secure way. We can allow you to enforce the browser in new scenarios where you couldn't enforce it before. And we are using the existing NGFW footprint in order to ease your deployment and your operations. Let's go over these one by one. Starting with remote access from any device. With NGFW working together with the browser, we can allow you to connect any unmanaged device in a secure way to your private applications. Therefore, we enable these devices and essentially all remote work without opening any new ports and without deploying any new connectors in your data centers or your private clouds. This is unprecedented in the remote access world. Simplifying operations of both your endpoint and your data centers and allowing secure remote access for users who in the past had to wait days, weeks, sometimes months for laptops to be shipped just in order to do their work.

TL;DR

  • Combining Prisma Browser with an existing NGFW enables secure private application access from any unmanaged device, eliminating the need to provision corporate laptops before granting access.
  • The integration requires no new inbound ports and no additional connector infrastructure in data centers or private clouds, reducing operational complexity significantly.
  • Organizations can enforce browser-based security controls in new access scenarios that were previously unsupported, extending Zero Trust coverage across more remote work use cases.

Summary

This InterSECt 2026 session clip presents the integration of Palo Alto Networks Prisma Browser with existing next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) as a combined solution for secure remote access from unmanaged devices. The speaker explains that while Prisma Browser has already delivered strong results for enterprise customers, pairing it with an existing NGFW footprint unlocks three additional capabilities: secure private application access from any unmanaged device, enforcement of browser security controls in scenarios previously out of reach, and simplified deployment by leveraging infrastructure organizations already own. A key differentiator emphasized is that this integration requires no new inbound ports and no new connector deployments in data centers or private clouds — a claim the speaker describes as 'unprecedented in the remote access world.' The practical benefit highlighted is dramatically reduced onboarding time: remote workers, contractors, and partners who previously waited days, weeks, or even months for provisioned laptops can now gain secure access immediately through any device. The session positions this NGFW-plus-browser approach as a Zero Trust extension that simplifies both endpoint and data center operations simultaneously.

FAQ

Does integrating Prisma Browser with an NGFW require deploying new infrastructure in the data center?

No. According to the presentation, the integration uses the existing NGFW footprint and does not require deploying new connectors or opening new inbound ports to private applications or private clouds.

Who is the primary target user for the Prisma Browser and NGFW integration?

The solution is designed for remote employees, contractors, and partners who need immediate access to private applications but do not have corporate-managed or provisioned devices.
