I work with the cloud infrastructure and automation, and we use Papertrail. Before Papertrail, we'd have to log in and test servers individually and check logs on servers individually. Having an aggregated place for those logs to go now has been super helpful. We tried to do a lot of custom solutions with LogSpout and various container solutions and whatnot, and those ended up being a lot more work than they were worth. Once we actually found Papertrail, I think we did a two-week demo of it, and setup was a breeze, it was super simple. We had all the servers going honestly within an hour. Now, when we have issues, we don't have to log into this hefty VPN process. We can isolate exactly which server is having issues and we can take care of it from the outside. I think it's pretty intuitive. The search is pretty intuitive. We have used some other platform that were pretty difficult to learn. The search functionality is great just because there's a lot of times you know exactly what you're looking for. You want to see what time it occurred, much quicker time to resolution just because I don't have to log into each server now. I definitely go for the free trial.
