over the last several years, and of course, I'm talking about SASE. But SASE is all about innovation and keeping moving forward. To find out what Fortinet is doing about that innovation, let's pass it over to the expert. Alex, it's over to you. Thank you, Patrick. Yeah, definitely SASE is all about innovation. That's what it has been for the last two, three years. But here we're announcing new cool innovations at Accelerate. One of them, we call it Outpost. It's all about data sovereignty. It's all about creating one or a couple of POPs in your region and still be able to access the rest of all our great 40 SASE POPs. So this way you can have data sovereignty in your region, locally in your country. Also if you want to go one step up, you also have 40 SASE Sovereign. It's been there for a little bit, but now it's fully available for MSPs, for large enterprises to build your own network of POPs. And this way you can really choose where your data is, where your POPs are, and have full flexibility and full customization. Well, check this out on Fortinet.com, on our website. Look for Sovereign SASE, look for 40 SASE, and you have all the information on these new innovations.

TL;DR

  • Fortinet announced FortiSASE Outpost at Accelerate26, enabling organizations to deploy dedicated regional POPs for data sovereignty while accessing the global FortiSASE network of 40+ POPs.
  • FortiSASE Sovereign is now generally available for MSPs and large enterprises, allowing customers to build fully customized private POP networks with complete control over data location.
  • Both innovations address regulatory compliance and data residency requirements while maintaining the connectivity and performance benefits of Fortinet's global SASE infrastructure.

Summary

Recorded at Fortinet's Accelerate26 conference, this brief demonstration introduces two new FortiSASE deployment options designed to address data sovereignty and regulatory compliance requirements. Alex Mehat presents FortiSASE Outpost, which enables organizations to establish dedicated points of presence (POPs) within specific regions or countries while maintaining connectivity to Fortinet's global network of over 40 SASE POPs. For organizations requiring complete control over their SASE infrastructure, Fortinet also announced the general availability of FortiSASE Sovereign for managed service providers and large enterprises. This offering allows customers to build and customize their own private network of POPs with full control over data location and routing. Both solutions represent Fortinet's response to increasing regulatory pressure around data residency and the need for deployment flexibility in distributed enterprise architectures. The announcements position FortiSASE as a platform capable of balancing global connectivity with localized compliance requirements.

FAQ

What is the difference between FortiSASE Outpost and FortiSASE Sovereign?

FortiSASE Outpost allows organizations to create one or a few dedicated POPs in specific regions while accessing Fortinet's global network of 40+ POPs. FortiSASE Sovereign goes further by enabling customers to build their own complete network of POPs with full customization and control over where data resides and how it's routed.
