First party coverage can include providing assistance with covering the cost of incident response, post threat event investigations, recovering from ransomware attacks, business continuity costs, notifying individuals about exposure of PII, PHI or PAN information, post incident public relations services to repair or prevent damage to a business's reputation, credit monitoring and identity protection services for anybody's data that may have been compromised during an event, activities related to recovering from any type of covered inciting event. Those are all things that are going to be covered under first party but they are for the insured business. Whenever you obtain first party insurance for yourself as an MSB, that really doesn't do your client any good. They can't have something happen to them and then your first party cyber liability insurance will cover their loss.
