Q1 2024 Feature Releases
Hudu's first quarter 2024 releases focused on infrastructure documentation capabilities with two major features: IP Address Management (IPAM) and Rack Management. IPAM provides centralized tracking of IP address utilization with automatic validation of network ranges and netmasks, ensuring documentation accuracy while maintaining relationships with existing assets like desktops and configurations. Rack Management delivers visual server rack mapping with power draw calculations, utilization tracking, and direct integration with existing device documentation. Both features reinforce Hudu's approach of validating data entry and maintaining contextual relationships across the documentation platform.
Hudu Assist Browser Extension
The newly released Hudu Assist extends the browser extension to surface documentation directly within PSA and RMM platforms. Currently compatible with Halo, Syncro, Ninja, and Autotask, the feature displays related assets, passwords, knowledge base articles, processes, and files when viewing contacts or companies in these systems. Users can access credentials with one-time password generation, view articles without leaving their workflow, or open full documentation in new tabs. This integration maintains Hudu as a single source of truth while eliminating context switching between platforms during support workflows.
Integration and Mobile Enhancements
ConnectWise integration received significant expansion with new client site imports, additional filtering options, auto-archiving, and auto-renaming capabilities — features that will roll out to other PSA and RMM integrations in subsequent releases. The mobile app added new process support, quick sections, and UI improvements, continuing Hudu's pattern of bringing instance features to mobile for on-site technicians. Additional Q1 updates included list fields replacing dropdowns for standardized data entry, knowledge base history comparison with source code highlighting, and ongoing data table enhancements scheduled for early April release.
