There are data points out there that suggest cybercriminals are attacking or targeting SaaS data just as much as they are targeting traditional on prem data. It's almost 50/50 breakdown, in fact. There is also data out there which suggests that recovering from an attack in terms of the SaaS data is much, much harder and more complex. Yes, there are native data protection capabilities available within the SaaS applications, but one, they are not free. They are additional services that businesses need to invest in. And if you are investing, invest in something that will give you more long term protection. Your long term recoverability, your peace of mind.
