XConnect Terms of Use

XConnect is an integration platform developed by Truth in IT that connects your webinar software (e.g., Zoom, GoToWebinar, ON24) to the Truth in IT Webinar Directory to streamline promotion, registration, and data flow.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By connecting your Zoom, GoToWebinar, or ON24 account to XConnect, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use XConnect.

2. Description of Service

XConnect is a data integration platform that enables:

  • Syncing webinar details from your hosting platform to the Truth in IT Webinar Directory.
  • Automated webinar listing and promotion to a targeted IT audience.
  • Secure transmission of registrant data from Truth in IT to your webinar platform.
3. General User Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate metadata in your webinar platform.
  • Use XConnect in accordance with applicable laws and your platform’s terms.
  • Protect your platform credentials (OAuth tokens or API keys).
  • Promptly revoke access if credentials are compromised.
4. Data Handling and Privacy

Truth in IT will:

  • Access only webinar metadata (e.g., title, date, description).
  • Push registrants to your platform (never stores chat logs or attendee behavior).
  • Use secure methods (OAuth or API) for all data exchange.

5. Platform-Specific Integration Details

Zoom (OAuth):

  • Webinar info is synced via OAuth.
  • Registrants are pushed directly into your Zoom event.
  • Disconnect at any time via your account dashboard.

GoToWebinar (OAuth):

  • Webinar info is pulled via OAuth.
  • Registrants flow into GoToWebinar in real time.
  • You control connection via the Truth in IT portal.

ON24 (API Key):

  • Requires manual entry of your ON24 API key and event ID.
  • Webinar metadata and registrant submission occur via ON24 REST API.
  • Credentials are not stored and are encrypted in transit.
6. Limitations of Liability

XConnect is provided “as is.” Truth in IT is not responsible for any failures, downtime, or platform-side issues. No guarantees or warranties are provided. Use is at your own risk.

7. Termination

You can disconnect any platform at any time via your XConnect dashboard. Truth in IT may suspend or terminate your access for misuse or violation of these Terms.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of XConnect after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance. Please review periodically.
