How do I join TruthPoints?

TruthPoints is a loyalty program that allows IT professionals to earn rewards for engaging with our content such as events, webinars, videos, whitepapers, etc. as well as sharing their questions, insights and opinions in our event chat room or through survey responses. Membership is open to IT professionals who provide their corporate email, job title, company, and phone number. To join, visit our registration page on the Truth in IT website, complete the required fields, and submit your information. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions on how to start earning TruthPoints or "TiPs." Also please check TruthPoints Terms & Conditions for more information.

Why “TruthPoints” or "TiPs" and not just regular gift cards?

We think TruthPoints enables us to reward ongoing engagement and loyalty vs. being tied to individual events or engagement. We can reward in aggregate and have flexibility to create all sorts of new programs that individual gift cards wouldn’t allow us to. TruthPoints also provides our members with more gift card choices and more ways to redeem through international providers outside of North America.

What rewards will I earn?

We’re excited to offer you great selection of eGift cards from big brands such as Amazon and VISA + many others that you love and trust! As soon as you earn 500 TruthPoints or "TiPs" you can start redeeming them for rewards.

Will I need to pay anything to join TruthPoints?

Joining TruthPoints is completely free for our Community Members. We only ask that you provide thoughtful and honest engagement with our content and survey questions.

What is my password?

For help resetting your password, please click here then click “Forgot Password?” or just email us at info@truthinit.com and we’ll help you out from there.

How can I change my email address associated to my Truth in IT account?

If you wish to change your email, you will need to cancel your current account (see below on how to do that) and set up a new one. We know this is a bit extreme, but we take fraud prevention seriously and this is a crucial safety feature of our program. If you have a specific request or special circumstances please contact us at: info@truthinit.com.

How do I join Truth in IT if I live outside of the United States?

Participation in Truth in IT is currently not limited to members residing in the United States so please feel free to sign up. Please remember, you must be working actively in the information technology (IT) sector and each application may be reviewed for validity.

How do I contact someone to answer a question that isn’t answered here?

We’re more than happy to answer any questions you may have! Simply write us a quick email at info@truthinit.com and we’ll respond within 72 hours.

How do I know how many TruthPoints or “TiPs” I’ve earned?

Just login and check your balance by logging in here. Once logged in just check your balance by viewing the pulldown menu on the top right corner as shown in the screenshot below.

What if I think my point balance is incorrect?

We do everything possible to provide an accurate point balance, but if you have questions regarding your balance please email us at info@truthinit.com.

When will I receive my TiPs?

In most cases your TiPs will be deposited into your account within a few hours after you win a drawing or are awarded a Truth in IT Challenge Top-5 or Honorable Mention. In some cases such as for registering or attending an event, (if applicable) it will be almost immediately. There are instances, however, where it may take up to 72 hours for your balance to be updated.

How do I redeem my TiPs?

Just login to TruthinIT.com and click the “Redeem” yellow link in the pulldown menu shown above to redeem your TruthPoints. After receiving 2500+ TruthPoints, you can redeem them for eGift cards by clicking on that link.

How many TiPs will I receive per engagement?

You will receive anywhere from 10  to 10000 TruthPoints or "TiPs" depending on the program. A “10x100” winner equates to $100USD or 10000 TiPs and a “Truth in IT Challenge Honorable Mention” would be 2500 TiPs ($25USD.) We may run promotions where registering for an event is worth 100 TiPs or attending is worth 1000 TiPs. We also may run bonuses where attending a certain # of webinars per month or year gets additional bonuses, etc.

Can you help me redeem my TiPs?

How can I earn even more TiPs?

As long as you continue to engage by attending webinars, participating in chat, answering surveys accurately and honestly you will earn points in our program.

Will my gift cards expire?

No. Once you have the gift code, it never expires.

Do TiPs expire?

As long as you are active (responding to our emails, engaging in our content and cashing in your TiPs), your TiPs will not expire! If you do not earn and/or redeem any TiPs for a period of 24 months, your TruthPoints account will expire (and your entire point balance lost). For example, if 500 points are deposited to your account in November 2024, and you do not use any points or have points deposited to your account for an entire 24 months (November 2024 to November 2026), your account and all available points will be deleted on or about January 1, 2027.

How long does it take to engage with Truth in IT content?

We know your time is valuable so our goal is that an online event never takes more than 1 hour and an attendance-based award would require clicking a link at 50% of the way through that event. The 10x100 or 20x50 drawings are held at the end of these events so the chance to enter those requires attending for the entire duration. Surveys can take between 5-30 minutes and generally the longer a survey takes to complete, the more points you’ll receive as a reward for completing it. Other content such as videos or whitepapers, etc. are dependent upon the content itself. Points based on referrals or sharing in social media, etc. should just be a few clicks.

What if I encounter a technical glitch?

Cancelling Membership

How do I cancel my Truth in IT membership?

We never want to see you go, but if you would like to cancel your Truth in IT TruthPoints membership simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our invitation e-mails.

If I cancel my Truth in IT TruthPoints membership, then what happens to my remaining points?

You cannot transfer or retain your points if you choose to cancel your Truth in IT TruthPoints account. Any points you do not redeem before cancelation will be forfeited. If you have questions regarding your balance please email us at info@truthinit.com.
