Dave Littman:                     Hi, Dave Littman, Truth in IT, today I am talking with Tom Rose, Chief Marketing Officer and Fred Pinkett. Fred is Senior Director of Product Management with Nasuni. Guys, welcome.

Fred Pinkett:                        Thank you.

Tom Rose:                              Thanks David, good to be here.

Dave Littman:                     All right, so hey, Nasuni is rocking. You guys have come a long way. Talk to us a little bit about the evolution of Nasuni, where you guys been, where you guys are now.

Tom Rose:                              Sure, sure, actually it's a timely discussion, we're just coming off our third consecutive record quarter, record financial results. I think we published a press release on one earlier this year. If you look at why that's happening, Nasuni almost is kind of gone through three versions as a company. The first version was really focusing on accelerating customer's journeys to the cloud. Those customers were small to medium sized businesses, SMBs. So it was more a SMB velocity play.

The second wave of Nasuni was more around mid market enterprises. We were bundling the cloud, actually as part of our cloud services platform, because this was back three, four years ago when cloud adoption wasn't was it is today and customers didn't have subscriptions. That was also great at acquiring customers.

But where we are now is we are really focusing on the global enterprises and selling to some of the largest enterprises in the world. We're no longer bundling the cloud with our platform, we're selling the enterprise file services platform sitting on top of our global file system, UniFS. Customers are bringing the cloud to the table with them, whether they've chosen Azure or AWS on the public side, or IBM Cloud Object Storage or Dell EMCCS for private cloud storage.

One of the advantages of Nasuni is we're unlocking the value of the new disk, which is the cloud object store, infinite capacity, geo redundancy. We have the file system, which allows customers to put stuff in these object stores, and that makes actually the object store vendors very happy because without a file system, it's been hard to get data into these object store platforms. Nasuni is really feeding that, we're providing a platform that makes it very easy to store unstructured data, protect that data with infinite versioning in the cloud, providing global access, that's really a strength of our UniFS file system is that single name space that allows customers in any location to access the same set of files and share even large files, problematic files like Auto Cad and Rebited, the big heavy files.

Fred Pinkett:                        Right, you have a combination of the global locking and the version match in the cloud allows customers to be able to collaborate almost as if they're working on one set of files and within one data space. With large complex applications, whether they're design applications, or whether they're working on videos, or whether they're developing software, we want customers to be able to do all those kinds of use cases.

Dave Littman:                     All right great, well, hey guys, thanks for taking the time to chat. We're going to spin up another video, and we're going to talk about some of the success stories you guys have had, the evolution of the file system, and why large enterprises are choosing Nasuni.

So for now, Tom, Fred, thanks for joining, and hey, check out the remainder of the story here with Nasuni with some of our other videos.

Tom Rose:                              Thanks David.
